The Santa Cruz Language and Linguistics group is a joint effort between Linguistics and Philosophy that brings in distinguished visitors to give colloquia and lead reading groups. Past visitors have included Irene Heim, Peter Hanks, Michela Ippolito, Angelika Kratzer, Jeffrey King, Scott Soames, Kent Bach, Greg Carlson, Ned Block, and Zoltan Szabo. The visitors for 2007–08 are Ernie Lepore (Rutgers University) and Peter Carruthers (University of Maryland). See the SCLL page for more information.
