Peer Advising Program The Department's Peer Advising Program provides a mechanism for Linguistics and Language Studies majors with junior or senior standing to assist other undergraduates in declaring the major and in navigating through the Department's curriculum. The program was a great success in its first year, 200708, and will continue for the foreseeable future. Peer advising offers a great opportunity to get involved in the Department and help out other students, and it's a great experience for yourself! Our Peer Advisors hold regular office hours, provide one-on-one advising, and work closely with the Graduate Advising Fellow and the Department staff. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to share your excitement about Linguistics or Language Studies and to draw on your own experiences as a major to help advise your peers. If you are interested in volunteering, consult with Ashley Hardisty in the summer before the academic year in which you wish to serve. For information about the current group of Peer Advisors and their office-hours, go here.
