Hearty congratulations to Dylan Herrick who successfully defended his
dissertation on Tuesday, July 15.:
"An Acoustic Analysis of Phonological Vowel Reduction in Six
Varieties of Catalan"
The committee was: Jaye Padgett, chair, Junko Ito, Armin Mester, and
Pilar Prieto , Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
Dylan has accepted a position at Mie Daigaku University beginning in
October. He will be teaching English and Linguistics. You can take
