Vera Lee-Schoenfeld got a last-minute invitation to the Workshop on Cross-linguistic Auxiliary Selection at UC Davis which took place this past Saturday (May 31st). Her talk, entitled "Agentivity vs. auxiliary choice: Evidence from pronominal binding in German AcI-constructions" was very well received, and it led to a lively discussion over lunch with invited speakers Carol Rosen, Cornell University, Annie Zaenen, Stanford U./PARC and Geraldine Legendre, Johns Hopkins U. They all send their regards to their friends and former colleagues and teachers in our department.
