UCSC Linguists Supplant Reigning Champion Team Wankers in Trivia
Contest!
Barat=E0atat=E1ata, the UCSC Linguistics Team, won 1st Place at
99 Bottles' weekly A Brit [sic] of Trivia contest. On a typical week,
Team Wankers manages to win due to the large number of competitors on
their team, ordinarily shutting every other team out. However,
after a tie (with Team Wankers) for first place this week,
Barat=E0atat=E1ata correctly answered the tiebreaker question, thus
earning them 10 free beers. The team consisted of Jeremy Weissmann,
his brother Jamie Weissmann who came all the way from Los Angeles to
compete, Sarah Morris, and Justin Nuger. Congratulations!
