Congratulations to Michela Ippolito who has been offered a tenure-track job at Boston University.

Veerle Van Geenhoven was a speaker at the 6th annual Stanford Semantics Fest on March 11. Veerle spoke on "A Cross-domain Plural Interpretation."

ALUMNI NEWS
Jason Riggle (UCSC BA 1997, UCSC MA 1999) has accepted a tenure track position
with the linguistics department at the University of Chicago. Jason joins fellow UCSC alums Jason Merchant (UCSC PhD 1999) and Chris Kennedy (UCSC PhD 1997) on the University of Chicago faculty. Jason and his wife Suzanne (Lyon) (UCSC MA 2001) are also pleased to announce that they are expecting their first child in the beginning of September. Jason and Suzanne met in the fall of 1998 at Bill Ladusaw's house after being introduced to one another by Donka Farkas. Suzanne is currently the Office Manager for the Office of Alumni Affairs and Development at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
