| View News Home LURC (Annual Undergraduate Research Conference) May 24, 2009 The department's annual celebration of undergraduate research (LURC: Linguistics Undergraduate Research Conference) took place on Friday June 5th in Room 210 of Humanities One. The conference featured 5 papers on the phonology, semantics and syntax of languages as diverse as Pashto, Basque, Calo Spanish, and American English. This year's distinguished alumnus speaker was MA student Nick LaCara, who spoke on Verbal ellipsis in the nominal domain.
