| Annual Conferences Hosted by the Department Home LASC (Linguistics at Santa Cruz) Every year towards the end of the Winter Quarter, the department mounts a conference which showcases the research of second and third year graduate students. LASC 2009 took place on Saturday March 7th in Room 202 of Humanities One. LURC (Linguistics Undergraduate Research Conference) Towards the end of the Spring Quarter each year, the department mounts a conference which showcases the research of undergraduate students in its programs.
