Structure of Russian Ling 185: Structure of Russian This course is about the analysis of Russian in the context of current linguistic theory. We will study the phonetic, phonological, morphological, and syntactic properties of Russian, having two goals in mind: a) to learn about Russian linguistics; b) to use what we discover to better understand linguistic theory.
Prerequisite(s): Ling 101 (Phonology
One), and either Ling 52
(Syntax One), or Ling 55 (Syntactic Structures). No prior knowledge of
Russian is presupposed. General Education Code: None
