Structure of French Ling 183: Structure of French This course deals with the phonology, morphology, and syntax of French, studied from a modern linguistic perspective. Some knowledge of French is presupposed. We also concentrate on issues that pose difficulties to English speakers learning French, as well as on matters that pose interesting challenges to linguistic theory.
Prerequisite(s): Ling 101 (Phonology
One), and either Ling 52
(Syntax One), or Ling 55 (Syntactic Structures). Some knowledge of
