Syntax Three Ling 114: Syntax Three Building on the foundation established in Syntax 1 and 2, Syntax 3 explores further theoretical issues and a wider range of phenomena, with the goal of bringing students to a point where they have a coherent view of the overall edifice of syntactic theory. Required work will include homework problems, reading of the primary research literature, a sequence of squibs, and a substantial final paper.
Prerequisites: Ling 113 (Syntax Two). General Education Code: W (Writing-Intensive).
